Training Session Day 1

Hardening the core of the internet; DNS and routing challenges, and DNSSEC and RPKI

During a 2hr session, trainees will be walked through the problem statement, get exposed to DNSSEC and RPKI and to how DNSSEC helps with DNS security, and the way RPKI helps with BGP security, and based on case studies - identify the steps needed to configure and use RPKI.

The training will be delivered by RIPE NCC experts

Session 2

Security: DoH, DoT, and DNS

Now that major Internet companies have implemented DoH and, partly, DoT, they have become a key topic in many forums, where the expression “DOH!” can be heard as an expression of concern, disappointment and misunderstanding at the impact DoH (and DoT) can have. Let’s revisit the matter and see if one could try a better expression. Or worse, for that matter.

Who wouldn’t want every single visitor to their website to make a purchase (or three), before they leave? Unfortunately, in the real world, we know average website conversion rates hover between 2 and 10% depending on the industry and how efficiently the site is being run; and yes, Social Media Marketing campaign are yet another challenge. Members will discuss ways to boost up their online visibility and efficiency of their resources.
